Kingsley Coman has told Arsenal what they want to hear amid transfer deadline day

Kingsley Coman is said to have not accepted any offer from Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal amid reported interest from Arsenal.

Coman, 28, has been linked with the Gunners this summer and football.london understands they are in the market for a versatile attacker as an additional option in the frontline. The Bayern Munich winger played on both flanks last season and, while with Juventus, was also occasionally used off the striker.

After moving on Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira, utilising Coman inside could appeal. However, providing competition for Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard behind Bukayo Saka makes the most sense. It may also allow Reiss Nelson to leave before the transfer deadline alongside fellow academy graduate Eddie Nketiah.

Coman’s agent at CAA Base, Christian Emile, has labelled reports in France that his client had accepted an offer to join Al Hilal as “not true”. Emile clarified to Fabrizio Romano: “Kingsley has not accepted any bid at this stage.”

Those comments came two days after the French sports newspaper L’Equipe reported that Coman decided to leave Bayern last week after nine years at the club. They reputedly invited the France international to go, with several Premier League clubs seemingly interested.

And it appears Coman would be keen to make the move to the Premier League, given his comments about making a potential switch to England from last December.
